BTS’s V Response To “Inappropriate” Fan Question Triggers Heated Debate
A recent Weverse interaction involving BTS‘s V has fans drawing a line on what should and shouldn’t be said to idols online.
It wasn’t V’s response that stirred the pot, but the fan’s question itself.

A fan commented on V’s current physique, telling him he looked great when he was more muscular and asking if he had lost weight again. V, being V, kept things light.
He replied that he could always get back to it and offered to send a photo from when he was 80kg.
Fan: Taehyung, did you lose weight again? You looked so good when you were more muscular!
V: I can always get back to it! Want me to send you a photo from when I was 80kg?

After completing his military service, V had openly shared that he lost a significant amount of weight getting ready for BTS’s comeback performances.

With that came the muscle mass he had worked hard to build during his service years, when he reportedly reached up to 86kg.

Seemingly, it was a deliberate choice he made for his stage performances, not something that happened by accident.
BTS Hugely Criticized For Comments To V About His Weight And Physique After Military
As a result, the fan’s comment did not sit well with a large portion of the fandom.

Many fans pushed back hard online, calling out what they saw as an inappropriate and tone-deaf thing to say to anyone, let alone a public figure.

V’s lighthearted answer may have defused the moment, but the conversation still sparked heated debate online.
