Nana’s Home Intruder Claims He Was Slashed With Knife, Plans To Submit Evidence

He previously accused Nana of attempted murder.

The man who broke into actress Nana’s home in November last year has made further claims of sustaining injury, presumably in order to strengthen his former accusations of attempted murder and assault against the actress.

Actress Nana’s Home Intruder’s Shocking Claims Trigger Fierce Backlash

On June 4 (KST), the 1st Criminal Division of the Uijeongbu District Court’s Namyangju Branch held a hearing for Mr. A, a man in his 30s, who is indicted on charges of robbery resulting in injury. Though the court concluded closing arguments on May 19, it proceeded to additional arguments before the scheduled sentencing.

Previously, the prosecution had pointed out that on the very day of his arrest, Mr. A had posted multiple inquiries on an online forum, such as “What happens if a trespassing robber gets slashed with a knife by the homeowner?” and “What is the likelihood of detention following a warrant review for attempted special robbery?” When the court asked Mr. A to explain his reasons for writing these posts, he responded that he was curious about the severity of the punishment he might face after the incident.

During the hearing, he also mentioned that he intended to submit a medical statement confirming that he was slashed with a knife and sustained a wound measuring over 5 centimeters. Previously, he had claimed that he entered Nana’s home empty-handed, and the actress brandished the knife, and that he was assaulted when she and her mother were subduing him. However, the police ruled that Nana’s actions constituted legitimate self-defense and declined to forward the case to the prosecution. Nana, in turn, filed a countersuit against Mr. A for false accusation.

  • “Execute that heinous criminal!”
  • “If this were the U.S., you would have been shot dead on the spot. The laws in this country are such a joke that he is pulling all sorts of stunts.”
  • “This wouldn’t have happened in the first place if you hadn’t trespassed into someone else’s home, sir.”
  • “Is there really anything to argue about here?”
  • “Isn’t trespassing a clear-cut case of self-defense, regardless of what actions the homeowner takes? Am I really expected to simply let a trespasser walk away unharmed—even if it means risking my own life in my own home, or enduring assault and theft—out of concern for the criminal’s safety?”
