JANNABI vocalist Choi Jung Hoon has sparked concerns after breaking down in tears during his recent live performance at a university festival.

Recently, videos of the singer performing at Konkuk University surfaced on social media, where he could be seen clutching his microphone and sobbing with his head down. Choi appeared to be emotionally overwhelmed with reddened eyes as audience members shouted words of encouragement such as “Don’t cry” and “We really love you.”

Choi expressed his overwhelmed emotions, stating, “It has been 12 years since I’ve been in this band, but this is the first time my voice failed me. That’s why I’m a bit flustered.” He then thanked the audience members for singing along loudly, adding that it gave him an immense confidence boost.

However, as the videos spread across online communities, netizens were left wondering if Choi’s emotional outbreak was triggered by relationship troubles between him and actress Han Ji Min. The couple confirmed their relationship in 2024 but have kept it away from the public eye ever since.

These speculations were countered by fan comments wishing Choi a fast recovery from his cold, leading people to conclude that the singer probably lost his voice while performing at the festival due to a cold.
