Shin Hae Chul’s funeral arrangements revealed; agency is looking into possible medical malpractice

Shin Hae Chul, also known as “The King of Darkness” by fans, passed away on October 27th, survived by his wife and two children. His agency has now revealed some of the funeral arrangements and is looking into whether his passing was a cause of medical malpractice.Shin Hae Chul’s funeral processions are reported to take place on November 5th at the Seoul Wonjidong Memorial park, where his body will be cremated. His burial site is still pending. Shin Hae Chul passed away after receiving surgery on October 22nd and being in a coma for six days after.

On October 17th, Shin Hae Chul had received surgery for bowel obstruction but was admitted to the hospital on October 22nd after complaining of heart and abdominal pain. After receiving an emergency surgery, he was unconscious for 6 days, and unfortunately passed away on October 27th. It is reported that he has not left a will.

Meanwhile, during his wake at the Seoul Asan Medical Center, Shin Ha Chul’s agency made a statement in the lobby:

We are in the process of looking into whether this was a medical malpractice. We heard the news while we were in the press room at the hospital and so far the inspector at Asan Medical Center has not discovered anything new.”

Meanwhile, Shin Hae Chul’s passing caused many to mourn for him from celebrities, to politician, to fans and producers. Fans of “The King of Darkness,” also showed their support and paid their respects to the legend by causing his tracks to top several online real-time music charts.
