NCT’s Hair Stylist Reveals His First Impression Of New Member Shotaro

Do staff love Shotaro as much as fans do?

NCT‘s new Japanese member Shotaro has made an amazing impression on fans in just a few weeks, but what did the group’s staff think when they first met him? In a new YouTube video on his channel, Dare U Naeju, veteran hair stylist Park Naeju shared his own first impression of Shotaro.

Along with fellow new member Sungchan, Shotaro’s first release with NCT was part of the NCT 2020 Resonance project. For part 1 of the series, Shotaro was added to the NCT U unit for hip-hop dance track “Make a Wish (Birthday Song)”. Naturally, alongside greeting fans for the first time, he also got to meet NCT’s staff while preparing.

Recently, the 19-year-old star has been attracting attention among NCTzens for his adorable charms and natural aegyo—but what do staff think of him?

Judging by Park Naeju’s reaction, it seems that Shotaro has been making a great impression on everyone! When he first met the new NCT star, Park says his expression was “so nice and so innocent.

The stylist went on to say that Shotaro looked “so different” when he was dancing versus when he was on his downtime. It seems Park Naeju is referring to Shotaro’s impressive debut duality. When he’s performing, he’s charismatic and powerful…

…but when he stops dancing, he becomes a precious otter.

On top of his image, Park Naeju says he was inspiring too. The hair stylist revealed that Shotaro “tried so hard to learn Korean” and gave equally effort to everything he tried on set. Unsurprisingly, Park was so impressed, he became a Shotaro fan right away!

He was so prepared, really! He made me his fan.
