A clip of a Thai restaurant has gone viral showing the controversial “skinny discount” offered to customers.
Customers may receive a discount on their meal depending on how skinny they are, ranging from 20% discount (most difficult to fit) to full price (easiest).
The man in the video tries his luck at 15% and then 10%, unable to pass through.
In the end, he wins the 5% and says it’s “better than nothing!”
The video went viral, garnering millions of a views and a variety of comments. Some found the whole thing entertaining…
…while others found it problematic as it could promote being underweight.
