A female idol revealed that she was recently the victim of an assault. The incident occurred in public, at a train station.

Yamauchi Suzuran is a Japanese idol, television personality, and former member of the girl groups SKE48 and AKB48. On April 13, she revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that a stranger had attacked her at Shinagawa Station in Tokyo, Japan.

“A man in a red check shirt, black backpack, and black glasses bumped into me, and then hit me,” she wrote. “I wanted to report it to the police, but it all happened so fast, and now it feels difficult to do anything. It was scary. I felt like crying.”

She also expressed her gratitude to the people who had reached out to check up on her well-being. Though no injuries have been reported, fans were understandably alarmed and concerned for the star’s safety, encouraging her to report the assault to the police. One of these supporters was former SKE48 member Matsui Jurina.

Are you alright? I want to give you a big hug. It’s okay to cry if you need to- please don’t force yourself to be strong. Rest if you can.

— Matsui Jurina

Unfortunately, this is not the first time an idol has been attacked in broad daylight.
