Son Faces Backlash After Sick Mother Dies Following Six Days On Bathroom Floor

A shocking incident involving a 43-year-old Taiwanese man, surnamed Zheng, is going viral.

He left his mother lying on the bathroom floor for six days after she collapsed from a stroke, resulting in her death.

Despite living with and caring for his mother for over two decades, Zheng claimed he didn’t intervene when she told him not to worry. He walked past her for days, called out to her, then stopped checking until he discovered her lifeless body on May 23.

The woman, 66, suffered from emotional disorders and had a history of refusing help, even from paramedics. Authorities suspect she died from bleeding in the brain due to a fall. Zheng was detained on suspicion of murder and abandonment.

However, public opinion is divided. Many locals and netizens are expressing sympathy, describing Zheng as a devoted son who spent all his time caring for his ill mother alone. Meanwhile, others believe his negligence may have played a crucial role in her death.
