2019 Net Profits of BigHit, SM, JYP, and YG Compared

BigHit and JYP came out with profits while SM and YG came out with deficits.

With 2019 having ended a few months back, the final numbers for sales, business profits, and net profits of BigHit Entertainment, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment are a hot topic of conversation in online communities.

According to the reports, SM Entertainment achieved the highest number in sales followed by BigHit, YG, and JYP.

SM Entertainment: 658 billion won (~$554 million USD)

BigHit Entertainment: 588 billion won (~$495 million USD)

YG Entertainment: 265 billion won (~$223 million USD)

JYP Entertainment: 155 billion won (~$130 million USD)

But when it came to business profits, BigHit surpassed the other 3 entertainment companies with JYP, SM, and YG below them.

BigHit Entertainment: 98 billion won (~$83 million USD)

JYP Entertainment: 43 billion won (~$36 million USD)

SM Entertainment: 40 billion won (~$34 million USD)

YG Entertainment: 2 billion won (~$1.7 million USD)

And although BigHit didn’t release their number for net profits, it’s been estimated that they made the largest net profits in 2019 followed by JYP, SM, and YG.

BigHit Entertainment: 79 billion won (~$67 million USD) – PROFIT

JYP Entertainment: 32 billion won (~$26 million USD) – PROFIT

SM Entertainment: 16 billion won (~$14 million USD) – DEFICIT

YG Entertainment: 25 billion won (~$21 million USD) – DEFICIT
