Could they be the next 2nd-gen group to make a comeback?

2022 has been a nostalgic year for fans of K-Pop’s second generation as we’ve seen multiple surprising reunions and touching interactions between some of K-Pop’s most legendary groups.

Fourth-generation groups have been dominating the K-Pop scene this year, with many quickly becoming household names.

In the midst of the rise of rookie groups, 2nd-gen girl groups have also been joining the exciting new music releases in 2022. Girls’ Generation and KARA reunited this year and released special albums to commemorate their 15th anniversary.

With so many groups reuniting, fans wonder which second-generation group could be next.

Fans are hopeful it will be 4MINUTE, who disbanded in 2016, after four of the former members got together two weeks ago, and the group’s maknae posted a photo of a coffee truck HyunA sent to her film set.

4MINUTE members Jiyoon, Gayoon, and Jihyun all attended a showing of the indie film, Through My Midwinter, starring Sohyun and actor Kwon Da Ham.

While the mini-reunion already had fans excited and wishing for a comeback, Sohyun receiving a gift from HyunA had 4NIAs even more hopeful for an official reunion.

Sohyun posted photos posing with a coffee truck HyunA sent her with a sweet message of gratitude for her unnie, and HyunA responded with a heartwarming, “So proud of you.”

Whether or not a reunion is in the cards for 4MINUTE, fans are still excited that the members remain close.
