Following Dispatch’s article, Jo Jin Woong’s agency released a statement, where the actor admit to some wrongful behavior, but did not specifically refer to any of the allegations mentioned.

Since then, Jo Jin Woong has been replaced from his narration position for SBS documentary War with the Gang, and his upcoming dramas such as Signal 2 are facing uncertainty due to his scandal.
Jo Jin Woong has since released a follow-up statement through his agency Saram Entertainment, sharing he has decided to retire from the entertainment industry.
I am going to end my career as an actor. I think this is something I have to take responsibility for and have the duty to bear my past mistakes. I will do my best to reflect deeply on myself so I can stand tall as an individual.
