Popular actor Kang Ki Young is mourning the loss of his brother, who passed away at the age of 44.
According to reports on May 15, KST, the actor lost his elder brother, who is survived by his wife. Apart from her and Kang, Kang’s parents are also grieving at the funeral. The funeral service for the deceased will be held on May 17, KST, at a university hospital funeral hall, and the burial will take place at the Seoul Memorial Park.
Kang’s fellow actors, including Joo Jong Hyuk, Kim Young Kwang, and Hwang Bo Ra, have reportedly sent wreaths to the funeral, honoring the deceased and offering condolences.
Kang Ki Young, a veteran actor who debuted over a decade ago, made his mark in the industry with his impeccable supporting roles in popular K-Dramas like Oh My Ghost, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. His most recent projects, such as Extraordinary Attorney Woo and The Uncanny Counter 2, have brought him even bigger recognition, resulting in him bagging his first leading role in the 2024 drama Queen of Divorce.
