Korea’s Most Famous Actor Makes A Surprise Return At 47 Years Old—Sparks Huge Reactions
The last time actor Won Bin actually acted was in 2010, in his hit K-Movie The Man From Nowhere. Still, he remains relevant in the Korean entertainment business and is considered one of the most famous, well-loved names.
This is clearly evident in his ability to rise—out of nowhere, so on brand—with a YouTube commercial and still break the internet. Even after being out of the public eye for 15 years, Won Bin has successfully secured another advertisement deal and created online buzz.
As of May 28, 2025 (KST), the actor re-emerged in a new commercial for AJUNG Networks (or Ah-Jung-Dang), a “lifestyle service provider platform.” With the most recently revealed 49-second ad, the 47-year-old Won Bin charmed Korea once again.
It has since been reported that Won Bin personally chose to collaborate with AJUNG Networks because he agreed with the brand’s service provided. An AJUNG Networks representative shared, “Actor Won Bin deeply connected with the brand’s vision and accepted the endorsement offer. Through this campaign, we aim to drive the value of ‘quality of life’ together.”
Of course, fans are absolutely flabbergasted by the surprise return, thrilled to see any activity from him. Online communities like theqoo are seeing hundreds of comments at awe over his mysterious visual.
