Actress Han So Hee Debuts New Piercing — And Fans Can't Handle The Heat

Actress Han So Hee’s recent Instagram updates have fans going wild.

One of the top actresses in South Korea right now, Han So Hee, has never been afraid of breaking the mold. Since most of her popular projects had her portraying young, feminine, and soft characters, her real-life image as a celebrity was starting to follow the same trajectory. But it was interrupted when her pre-debut photos resurfaced on the internet, showing a completely different side of the actress.

In the pictures, Han So Hee could be seen with tattoos, dressed in grunge fashion, and smoking cigarettes. The conservative Korean society didn’t react too positively to the pictures, but that never fazed the actress.

When the media asked about the photos, she responded, “I don’t have any thoughts about it.” She added, “I was me back then, and I’m me now too.” In fact, she found it funny that people thought it was her “past” — “The photos are only from a few years ago,” she revealed. She even hit back at the hypocritical reactions to the photos, saying, “It’s just sexist and discrimination to think that [smoking and tattoos] can be okay for male actors, but there is an issue when a female actress does it.”

The actress recently also spoke up about the unhealthy obsession of people regarding weight loss, telling fans that they shouldn’t be as skinny as her since it’s not normal for someone who isn’t bound by the entertainment industry’s standards.

Now, she has gone against one more “standard” for Korean actresses and debuted her lip piercing on Instagram. On September 23 (KST), Han So Hee posted a series of pictures of her recent whereabouts, and the very first photo showed her with multiple lip piercings and a peeping arm tattoo!

She also posted a close-up of the piercing on her story, confirming the studs were not fake.

However, it is uncertain if the tattoo is real, considering that she got her original tattoos from the pre-debut era removed to become an actress and has been sporting fake ink on her body of late.

The reactions to Han So Hee’s post ranged from praises for her bold accessory to people finding her similar-looking to BTS‘s Jungkook in the picture to fans professing their love for this new look.
