ADOR Appoints New Lawyers For Lawsuit Against Danielle And Min Hee Jin

ADOR has replaced its legal team in the ₩43.0 billion KRW (about $29.1 million USD) damages lawsuit filed against original NewJeans member Danielle and former CEO Min Hee Jin.

According to the music industry on the 12th, ADOR recently appointed four lawyers from the Lee Han law firm and submitted a request to the court to change the trial schedule.

Previously, the five lawyers from Kim & Chang law firm, who had been representing ADOR legally, all resigned on the 24th of last month.

In March, during the first preparatory hearing for the damages lawsuit held by the 31st Civil Division of Seoul Central District Court, the parties clashed over the trial schedule.

At that time, ADOR requested to postpone the hearing by about two months, wishing to proceed with this case after the ongoing put option lawsuit between HYBE and former CEO Min was concluded.

Danielle’s side accused ADOR of intentionally delaying the lawsuit, while ADOR insisted there was no intention to delay and emphasized the need for careful consideration due to many disputed issues.

The court rejected the extension request and scheduled two additional hearings on May 14 and July 2.

Meanwhile, ADOR expelled Danielle from the NewJeans in December last year, citing serious violations of the exclusive contract. ADOR also filed a damages suit totaling ₩43.0 billion KRW (about $29.1 million USD) against Danielle, one of his family members, and former CEO Min Hee Jin.
