aespa is once again trending online, but this time, it’s not for a comeback or stage performance. Instead, a security guard has come under fire for his behavior toward a fan during the members’ recent airport appearance.

According to fan-taken clips circulating on Korean and international forums, Giselle accidentally dropped her passport while walking through the airport. A fan spotted it, picked it up immediately, and tried to return it to the idol.

However, before the fan could hand it to Giselle, aespa’s security guard snatched the passport straight out of the fan’s hand, shocking everyone nearby.

His attitude came under fire.

The perfect example of a rude Korean male guard. It wouldn’t have been enough for him to be grateful, and yet his actions are so pathetic and miserly.

What made it worse was that the fan had taken care of Giselle’s belongings when the guard had failed to notice.

While many guards have to be rougher in their line of work, many now hope that the girls’ staff will learn to handle situations with better manners, especially when fans are simply trying to help their favorite idols
