According to reports on September 27, KST, Park lost the second trial of a damages lawsuit filed by Loud Fun Together against him and his former agency, Re Cielo Co. The appeal hearing was on September 25, when the 8-1 Civil Division of the Seoul High Court ordered that the defendants jointly pay ₩500 million KRW (about $355,000 USD) and delayed interest to the plaintiff for contract violations.

In January 2020, Loud Fun Together had signed a contract with Re Cielo Co, whose major shareholder at that time was Park’s mother. The deal stipulated that Loud Fun Together would have exclusive management rights over Park’s career until 2024. However, in the following year, Park Yoo Chun demanded that the contract be terminated. After negotiations fell through, he sent a formal notice to the company saying that if settlement funds were not paid, the contract could be terminated.

Loud Fun Together didn’t respond to this notice, and Park notified them of unilateral contract termination, following which he continued his entertainment activities through Company A, a management firm operated by an acquaintance. This move prompted Lound Fun Together to seek a court application to prohibit Park from appearing in broadcasts or engaging in entertainment activities. Despite the court accepting the application, Park ignored the ruling and continued with his overseas performances and endorsements. In response, Loud Fun Together filed a ₩500 million KRW (about $355,000 USD) damages claim.

In December 2023, during the first trial, the court ruled in favor of Loud Fun Together and ordered Park and his former agency to pay the damages. The second trial also acknowledged that Park had violated the contractual terms. However, the court also partially accepted Re Cielo Co’s counterclaim, ruling that Loud Fun Together also had to pay around ₩497 million KRW (about $353,000 USD) in settlement funds to them for goods sales, paid fan clubs, and overseas performances.

This is not the first controversy of Park Yoo Chun. The idol got in so many controversies that he initially withdrew from the entertainment industry completely. However, in recent months, he has been active in Japan and other overseas markets.
