Heartthrob Actor Does The Unthinkable To Keep His Weight Under Control
In the latest episode of JTBC‘s Chef & My Fridge (also known by its original title Please Take Care of My Refrigerator), actor Ahn Bo Hyun guested alongside idol-turned-actress Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA to promote their new K-Movie, Pretty Crazy.

When the chefs on the show looked through Ahn Bo Hyun’s fridge, they found only weight-loss-centric items, like chicken breast, oatmeal, and whole wheat pasta noodles. The actor noted that, because of his untamable love for desserts and bread, he needs to maintain a strict diet otherwise.

I love desserts and bread. When I was in the military, I used to eat 16 ‘Choco Pie’ cakes a day and 24 ‘Oh Yes’ cakes a day. Thankfully, I finally found low-calorie konjac bread.

But what really shocked the viewers was the fact that he had never ordered fried chicken for himself. Korean fried chicken, a delicacy that most Koreans love and adore, is notoriously high in calories and one of the “worst foods” for those in weight loss and management.
As the set reacted in disbelief, he clarified that it’s partly because he already eats a lot of chicken—just in plain breast form! After Ahn Bo Hyun noted that he eats 8 packs of plain chicken breast a day, the chefs fully understood why he wouldn’t want any more chicken in his life.

I actually… just don’t like chicken. I’ve never once ordered fried chicken in my life. I mean, if I have friends coming over, I’ll order it for them, but I really dislike chicken. I only eat chicken breast because I have to. I have a set diet of 200 grams of rice with eight packs of chicken breast.
