Ailee, VIXX’s Ravi, And Newkidd Join Top Artists From Across Asia In A Meaningful Collab Project
Top artists from across Asia — including Ailee, VIXX‘s Ravi, and Newkidd — have joined forces to spread a message of hope and bring comfort to those suffering from the current COVID-19 pandemic through a global song project.
Through the project, eight incredibly talented artists from Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines have virtually come together to release a global song called “ME ME WE (I, YOU, US)” later this month.
This project, jointly created between Warner Music and the Gangnam District Office, hopes to bring a message of hope to people around the world who are currently suffering due to the pandemic.
To deliver this message of hope is an incredible lineup of talented artists. Ailee, Ravi, and Newkidd have added their voices to the project as representatives of South Korea. Further adding their talents to the project are R&B singer-songwriter Rahmania Astrini from Indonesia and top singer-songwriter Aizat Amdan from Malaysia.
Popular band Chillies from Vietnam, beloved female artist PAAM, and top singer, rapper, and songwriter Quest from the Philippines rounded out the amazing project lineup.
In addition to all the skilled artists who added their voices to the global song, American producer Marz (MZMC) also lent his talents by taking charge of “ME ME WE (I, YOU, US)”. Marz has worked on many hit songs including EXO‘s “Tempo”, NCT 127‘s “Cherry Bomb”, and Taeyeon‘s “Fine”.
Due to the current situation, all of the recordings have been done in a collaborative way that allowed each singer to record locally before sending it to the producers. “ME ME WE (I, YOU, US)” is set to release at the end of July on various music platforms and will be released simultaneously in Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
