Indian Singer-Songwriter Armaan Malik Is An ARMY Too, And Like The Rest Of Us, He Can’t Pick Just One BTS Bias

Honestly, same.

BTS truly has one of the most diverse fanbases.

BTS

ARMYs are all over the world, and many are successful in their own right too. One of these is Indian singer-songwriter Armaan Malik!

Armaan Malik is a legend himself. Known as the “Prince of Romance,” he’s an Indian singer-songwriter who has worked in the Bollywood industry as an actor, performer, and done lots of voice-over work.

He has sung in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Telegu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi, and Urdu. So, there’s really nothing he can’t do.

Armaan comes from a talented family of musicians. Both his father, Daboo Malik, and brother, Amaal Mallik, are composers. Armaan himself became the “youngest singer to win two debut awards at Global Indian Music Awards (GiMA) and the best playback singer award at BIG Star Entertainment Award in 2015.”

K-Pop fans may also recognize Armaan as having collaborated with Eric Nam. They released the international hit “Echo” with producer KSHMR to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in 2021.

Being an Indian artist–because we’ve not seen a lot of representation on the global stage–I feel a kind of responsibility. This is not something that’s happened before, this is something that’s so new for India and Indian musicians. It’s beautiful how artists from different countries are so deep-rooted in their cultures but come together to do something which–even though it’s different–is still very much them.

And diehard fans of Armaan already know that he’s quite the K-Pop fan himself. Last year, he was also a guest on Arirang TV‘s Simply K-Pop CON-TOUR. There, he revealed he’s a fan of BTS, EXO, Super Junior, Stray Kids, and, of course, Eric Nam, and even attempted to sing in Korean!

He has tremendous respect for BTS, especially. In an interview, Armaan previously told Indian Express that he’s a big fan of the group.

Yes, I really like their music and I am glad to see their massive success! They have really opened the floodgates for Asian artists globally and I genuinely respect them for doing that.

Knowing he’s a mutual K-Pop fan, it was only natural he would be asked some related questions during a recent Q&A. Armaan hosts “Fridays With Armaan” on Twitter in which he invites his followers to ask questions which he’ll answer.

One fan asked him if he has a bias in BTS, and if so, who is it?

Shortly after the fan asked their question, Armaan responded! He quote tweeted, saying that it’s both J-Hope and Jungkook!

J-Hope (left) and Jungkook (right).

Previously, back in May of 2021, Armaan praised Jungkook’s vocals. So, he’s been Jungkook-biased for a while now!

Still, as is in the case with most BTS stans, we can’t just pick one bias. You have to love all.

@winterbear_my: When you wrote V I remembered BTS V.

Armann Malik: V all like V don’t V.

So, Jungkook and J-Hope are not the only members he’s specifically tweeted about. He’s also shown love to V!

And now we can only imagine how amazing collaboration between these two would be…
