Weight loss/management isn’t the easiest or the most fun, that’s for sure. During one segment of the show, Bae Doo Na received a question from a viewer who recently gained a lot of weight. Running out of motivation to work out, the viewer sought advice from the actress, well known for her slim figure. But when comedian Kim Sook asked the actress how she maintains her weight, Bae Doo Na got candid with her answer!

Noting that while she doesn’t quite understand why anyone would need/want to lose weight, the actress acknowledged that maintaining or even slimming down to a certain shape is a part of the career that she chose. So she is “basically forced” to do so, and she got real and honest about how the money does help.

Honestly, I think it’s largely thanks to getting paid.

I actually don’t quite understand why people have to lose weight. I mean, sure, if it’s for health complications. But to look better?

For those of us whose careers require us to be in shape, like actors, it makes sense. Like, there are times when we have to fit into certain outfits. So we’re basically forced to maintain a certain weight.

Bae Doo Na then revealed her intense routine. She keeps her figure slim by doing two cardio workouts a day. And when paid right, she goes the extra mile to drop another two kilograms!

I do cardio in the morning and again in the evening just to stay within my personal standards. I work out almost every day—about 5 to 6 days a week. I keep myself at my baseline, and if I have a photo shoot or if I’m getting paid for something, I’ll drop another 2 kilograms just for that.
