Beautiful Korean Celebrity Announces Marriage Alongside Retiring From Industry

Beloved for her versatility across the sports world, announcer Oh Hyo Joo is set to tie the knot. Oh will hold her wedding on October 26 at a private venue in Seoul. She revealed that her fiancé is two years younger and works in the broadcasting industry. She also addressed rumors that she left her job to get married. Earlier in 2025, Oh announced that she would be leaving her fixed spot on KBS N Sports.

“We’ve been dating for about three years. He’s like a comfortable friend — it’s always fun and easy when we’re together. When I left KBS N Sports earlier this year, he quietly supported me through it all, and that made me realize I could trust him and spend my life with him. Some people thought I quit because of marriage, but that’s not true at all. I just wanted to try more things.”

Having left KBS N Sports five months ago after 11 years, Oh is now exploring new opportunities.

“I’m working on different projects, writing a book, giving lectures, and continuing sports-related work. I feel freer now and want to take on more challenges without limitations.”
