Beloved Female Idol Confirmed As Lead In “Freaky” Webtoon Adaptation
Former LOONA member Chuu has taken a bold step in her solo career.
According to reports on April 28, KST, Kidari Studio has announced that it is producing a K-Drama adaptation of the popular adult webtoon, Wild Eyes (Korean title, Gwang An). Chuu is portraying the role of the female lead, Eun Woo, while actor Bang Sung Joon will portray the male lead, Lee Hyun.
The original webtoon is a work of historical fiction, depicting a palace romance between Crown Prince Lee Hyun and a court lady Eun Woo. Reports suggest that the filming is already completed and the project is currently in the post-production stage.
This news has drawn quite extreme reactions from fans, owing to the mature and explicit nature of the original webtoon’s content. Those who were unfamiliar with the work were left completely shocked upon discovering that the manhwa began right away with a graphic depiction of a sex scene between the two lead characters.

As shocking as the content might be, fans are still rooting for Chuu’s success with this project and have shown strong support.
But anyway I think it's great that Chuu wants to get more involved in acting. She's already proven several times that she's capable and does a great job. I'm curious to see how she'll do it, since her character is supposed to play a major role in the story.
