The members have been with YG for 15 years. The members had all trained together back when YG was still a small company and debuted in 2006 to start their streak of legendary success, which ultimately grew the label into one of the most successful agencies in Korea at its peak. Considering their time as trainees, they’ve been with the agency for around 20 years. This will be their 3rd time renewing their contracts.

Earlier this year, market analysts predicted that YG Entertainment’s stocks highly depended on whether or not BIGBANG decided to stay with the agency. It appears YG’s stocks will be safe for the year.

YG Entertainment vowed that they will continue supporting BIGBANG as they continue their future as a 4 member group.

BIGBANG has not only paved the way in musical influence, but also changed the flow of the South Korean mass culture. BIGBANG will continue to write K-Pop history as the representative artist of our agency, and we will put our all in supporting them.

BIGBANG was scheduled to make their long-awaited return through Coachella 2020 in April. However, as Coachella postponed the event to October due to the coronavirus, VIPs will have to wait for a new update on the Kings’ return.
