The series is reported to be released sometime in June on HBO Max, so fans shouldn’t have much longer to wait to see the “dark and twisted series.”

“The Idol” is set against the backdrop of the music industry, centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.

Although fans initially believed that Jennie would be featured in a cameo role, as more and more information was released about the upcoming show, it seemed likely that Jennie would have a prominent acting role.

As trailers have been released, there has been speculation that Jennie would play a bisexual character.

Previously, sharp-eyed fans also noticed that in one of the trailers, Jennie was wearing a necklace with an angel pendant.

And since the name Angel is used in the trailer, fans suspected it might be Jennie’s character’s name.

Now fans seemingly have confirmation, as the Google results for The Idol have Jennie listed as playing Angel.

Similarly, some of the series’s staff have seemingly confirmed Jennie as a main character in the show, making her acting debut even more exciting.
