Ahead of the final episode, Dyanne was seemingly living her dream and ready to release her own song.

Yet, Jennie’s final scene seemingly threw that all into confusion as Dyanne was called into the office of the recording label she was set to work with. While they built her up with praise…

It was revealed that there were some legal issues surrounding the song and the writer, which meant that Dyanne’s release had to be postponed.

When the episode aired, netizens had mixed feelings about the ending of the show and how they portrayed Dyanne’s ending arc.

After building up Jennie’s character and story arc, some couldn’t understand how Dyanne’s story had a huge impact on Jocelyn. Yet, it only led to Jennie only having just over a minute in the final episode.

Others didn’t get how the writers allowed Jocelyn to forgive Tedros but not Dyanne, who was seemingly following her own dreams.

Some looked more positively at the ending for Dyanne as it was showing the parallels to real life in the entertainment industry. Sometimes, no matter how talented you are, things don’t always turn out the way you want due to unforeseen circumstances. Many even pointed out the parallels to Jennie’s own career under YG Entertainment.

Although it might be possible that the writers were holding out for a possible second series, the controversy surrounding the show makes it less certain. Jennie luckily came out of the show unscathed, but the final episode seemed like a letdown.
