On June 5, HBO released a behind-the-scenes look at the first episode of The Idol. The show tells the story of a budding singer and her unhealthy relationship with a cult leader.

In the first episode, the controversial show lived up to expectations and portrayed a mentally struggling singer Jocelyn, played by Lily-Rose Depp, as she first meets Tedros, played by The Weeknd.

Not lost to fans in the controversial scenes was BLACKPINK Jennie’s awesome performance. In the episode, the icon plays a backup dancer and friend of Jocelyn.

Jennie made her presence felt in the episode with effortless grace and charisma. The idol stunned audiences with her renowned beauty.

In the behind-the-scenes look, Jennie spoke about making her acting debut in the series.

According to the K-Pop idol, despite not having a lot of time to learn the choreography for the dance scenes, the choreography came naturally to her.
