BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo recently did a photoshoot with clothing brand SELF-PORTRAIT, but an unexpected feature of the photos left netizens displeased.
At first glance, nothing seems out of the ordinary with the photoshoot.
However, upon closer look, all of the backgrounds of the photos are AI-generated.
Captured by photographer Drew Vickers, the campaign places Jisoo at the centre of a series of imagined, AI-generated backdrops. The result is nostalgic and futuristic, hyperreal and synthetic, with Jisoo flickering between dreamscapes.

Fans had mixed reactions in the comments to the AI-generated portion of the photos, along with the video.
Some felt that the use of AI was unnecessary and that Jisoo deserved better.
However, there were some fans who felt the creative use of AI worked well in the photoshoot.
The use of AI-generated images and videos in advertisements and more has been met with mixed reactions. However, everyone agrees that Jisoo looks stunning!
