BLACKPINK Jisoo And Family Reportedly To Have Cut Ties With Brother Since 2025
BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo was recently affected when it was made known that her older brother had not only allegedly assaulted his wife, but attempted sexual assault. New reports claim she had already cut off her own brother long before recent scandals surfaced.
According to entertainment journalist YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, Jisoo and her family allegedly severed ties with her older brother, Mr. Kim, after a series of disturbing allegations.
On April 22, Lee uploaded a video titled “Shocking Exclusive! The Truth Behind His Remarriage to a Wife 14 Years Younger… Why BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Cut Off Her Brother.” In the video, he cited the artist’s agency statement and provided additional claims about the timeline of events.
Reading the agency’s stance, Lee explained that Jisoo had no contact or support relationship with her brother. Previously, a post on the anonymous workplace community Blind accused Jisoo’s brother of filming sexual encounters without consent and possessing illegal recordings of other women.
“Didn’t the hidden camera (molka) allegations involving her brother surface on Blind in May 2025? After that incident, he completely lost the trust of Jisoo and her family, and they essentially cut him off from that point on.”
Lee further claimed that her brother distanced himself immediately after the controversy broke:
“At the time, Jisoo’s brother even changed his phone number arbitrarily. He had been helping with Jisoo’s work back then, but once the issue broke out, he changed his number and went into hiding, only communicating through voice calls. He didn’t even share his new number with related parties and avoided all contact. He essentially disappeared during the handover process.”
He also emphasized that Jisoo had no way of being involved in the alleged incidents:
“There was no way for Jisoo to be directly in contact with him or to be involved in or aware of issues such as the alleged sexual harassment of a BJ or domestic violence.”
Mr. Kim was arrested on April 15 on charges of forcibly molesting a female BJ after bringing her to his home. However, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office rejected the police’s request for a detention warrant, citing insufficient evidence. Adding to the controversy, a woman claiming to be his wife later accused him of domestic violence via social media.
