BLACKPINK’s Lisa Is Confirmed To Make Her Movie Debut
BLACKPINK member Lisa is officially set to make her debut as a movie actress with a blockbuster Netflix project.

On November 5, KST, the streaming giant confirmed that Lisa will be starring in its upcoming action film, Extraction — Tygo. She will be joining an already star-studded cast, including Ma Dong Seok and Lee Jin Wook.

Extraction — Tygo is a part of the cinematic universe of Netflix’s global hit, Extraction. The action franchise is led by Chris Hemsworth, and the original film dealt with high-adrenaline rescue missions carried out by elite mercenaries. However, this new installment will introduce a new protagonist, Tygo, a soldier on a mission to save hostages in complex rescue operations.
The new film will be centered around Tygo’s mission to rescue Ria, the character that Lisa will be taking on. Ria is described as a close companion of Tygo and a member of his team. The two characters share a close bond after having lives through harsh conditions since childhood together.
Lisa shared her excitement for the project, stating, “I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors. Being in an action film has always been a dream of mine, and for my first movie role to be in such an exciting action film is a dream come true.“
Tygo was already expected to be Netflix’s most ambitious action title till date, and now, with Lisa’s star power added in the mix, `it has sparked even higher anticipation globally.
