BTS is one of those groups that has withstood the test of time and, despite debuting all the way back in 2013, has maintained a close bond as seven members. From the moment they started at BIGHIT, all of the group has been through the highs and lows together, from being trainees and debuting to eventually taking over the world.
With so much having happened since debuting, sometimes the memories can get lost and becomes overlooked because of busy schedules and the idea of constantly looking forward to the next project.
One person who recently took ARMY on a nostalgic trip down memory lane is none other than BTS’s J-Hope.
Since the members created their Instagram accounts, J-Hope has always been one of the most active, constantly updating ARMY with everything he’s doing and interacting with the members on their posts. His account is also extremely aesthetic, showing off the idol’s style.
On May 24 (KST), J-Hope shared some new images on his Instagram story but they were a little different. In the photos, J-Hope seemed to be feeling nostalgic as he took shared some old photos of the group…
And a concert ticket from the time he, RM, and Suga went to watch Eminem back in 2012 before the group even debuted.
Yet, it was a more detailed picture that really caught the attention of fans and it was of a card written by member Jimin back in the day. It is a well-known fact that the friendship between the two members is so underrated as Jimin and J-Hope.
Well, the letter shared by J-Hope showcases the extent of the friendship as the birthday card had a lot of thought and love poured into it. At first, it seemed like a normal card with Jimin wishing J-Hope a happy birthday.
To Hoseokie hyung
Ah, hyung. This is the first time I’m writing a letter to one of the members, so I’m kind of embarrassed, haengnim ㅋㅋㅋ It’s so cheesy, I’m gonna die ㅋㅋㅋ Haengnim, it bothered me that I couldn’t celebrate your birthday properly last year, and I wanted to do something for your birthday this year, so I prepared something simple.
Happy birthday from the bottom of my heart!!!
Yet, it was the next part that was extremely heartwarming. Jimin then goes on to share how grateful he is for everything J-Hope’s done, cementing the friendship between all the members where they only wished for good health and happiness for each other.
I feel like it’s my first time even saying happy birthday to you ㅋㅋ I was never able to say this to you, but haengnim, ever since we became Bangtan, you’ve been guiding us well as much as a leader. I’m always grateful, and please continue to guide as well. I’m sure you have concerns and also go through a lot of difficult times, but thank you for working harder than the other members without ever expressing it. But it’s only going to get tougher, so please remember to take care of yourself. I noticed you’ve been getting sick/hurt lately.
Anyways, I sincerely wish you a happy birthday. I’ll still be a little bit of a pain but please take care of me~! I love you
-Your dongsaeng, Jiminnie-
When the images were shared, ARMY instantly took to social media to share their feelings about the photos. They couldn’t get over the friendship between the members and that J-Hope had kept all these precious moments from his past.

Yet, it isn’t the first time the members have shown their nostalgic side. In a recent interview with Spotify, the members shared some of their past memories and even revealed that they still visit their old apartment.
Despite their huge success worldwide, it’s heartwarming to see that BTS doesn’t forget about their past and continues to cherish their friendships with each other.
