For a long time, Jin has been considered the best chef of all the BTS members.
He’s, without a doubt, the foodie of the group. When he does live broadcasts, they are usually in the form of mukbangs, known as EatJin.
In the past, he was also the designated cook in the dorms. He even had a food blog titled “Jin’s Cooking Diary” back then!
Recently, in an interview with Jaeki Cho for Amazon Music, it was clear that Jin is still the most likely one to be found in the kitchen even years later.
Now, in BTS’s latest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, host Jimmy Fallon decided to clear up some rumors and find out the truth. He asked, “Jin, is it true that you’re the best chef of the group?”
To our shock, Jin denied being the best chef. Instead, he was humble and claimed that all of the members’ cooking skills are pretty equal.
It’s not fact. Actually, all of us have similar cooking skills.
Hmm… Are you sure about that, Jin?
Jin did, however, reveal that the last time he cooked, he prepared kimchi-bokkeum-bap, otherwise known as kimchi fried rice. This is one of the most popular Korean foods as it’s not only delicious but relatively cheap and easy to make.
Perhaps he cooked for J-Hope recently? Kimchi fried rice is one of his favorite dishes!
Jin has been known to cook for others, and he has now offered to cook for Jimmy when he visits Korea! That is if he calls first… Man needs time to gather ingredients.
Like Jimmy, we’d take him up on the offer!
While Jin claims that he is not “the best chef of the group,” we will have to disagree respectfully. Based on numerous live broadcasts, episodes of Run BTS!, and his food blog, we know the truth!
