At the beginning of the live, Jungkook revealed that he had a busy day ahead but was bored waiting for his schedules to start, so he decided to go live.

As usual, Jungkook treated fans to an impromptu karaoke session that felt more like a front-row seat to a concert.

As he took fans’ requests for songs, one song, in particular, kept popping up in the Weverse chat, leaving Jungkook hilariously confused.

ARMYs were flooding the chat to request that Jungkook sing the traditional Korean folk song, “Arirang,” which is estimated to date back over 600 years.

“Arirang” is widely considered to be Korea’s unofficial anthem and is included on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

Jungkook may have been confused about the sudden overwhelming demand for the song, but ARMYs knew exactly why the song was so widely requested.

The BTS members go viral daily, and often for various reasons. From fashion show appearances to movie premieres to spontaneous live broadcasts, or even different hair; their every move commands the attention of millions worldwide.

Recently, BTS’s Jungkook went viral for the group’s performance of “Arirang” alongside fellow K-Pop groups f(x), I.O.I, SHINee, Block B, and F.T. Island at KCON 2016 in France.

BTS’s vocal line showcased their skills during the cover, and many were impressed with Jungkook’s lower vocal register during his solo part.

Jungkook seemed to be unaware that his part in the “Arirang” performance was one of the latest reasons he trended worldwide, but after his brief live stream, he may find out soon!
