He was fired for his comment.

BTS‘s Jungkook was recently caught up in dating rumors when photos of himself enjoying a night out with friends was leaked online. Many claimed he was dating a famous tattoo artist named Lee Mijoo, who works at a tattoo shop called T Tattoo Shop.

Both BigHit and Lee Mijoo denied the dating rumors and clarified that they were nothing more than friends, but before they had released an official statement, the manager of the T Tattoo Shop had clarified the situation first.

Jungkook and [Lee Mijoo] know each other personally, but a lot of celebrities come to our shop.

There are rumors that Jungkook and [Lee Mijoo] have couple tattoos. It’s 100% untrue. I can put everything on the line and say it’s not true.

His statement about the rumors caused backlash by the netizens. He then claimed that he was in danger of getting fired by the controversy.

Just because I said Jungkook didn’t get his tattoo done here, I’m in danger of getting fired. I’m getting a lot of messages through my personal social media accounts. I don’t understand why I’m getting cursed out.

The owner of the shop reportedly went ahead with his decision and fired the manager who made the comment. The owner clarified once again that Jungkook, Lee Mijoo, and the shop staff are all friends.

He also claimed that the manager spoke when he “didn’t know anything” about the truth.

The manager barely knows anything. I understand that Jungkook’s side released an official statement. We’re all friends.

I think we’ll be switching managers soon. I’m going to let him go today.
