BTS In Discussions To Perform At The Inauguration Ceremony Of South Korea’s Next President

It would be a huge honor for the team!

It was reported by Korean media that BTS was in discussions to perform at the inauguration ceremony for South Korea’s next president, Yoon Seok Yeol. The Presidential Elections ended in March 2022 when Yoon Seok Yeol was elected. The inauguration ceremony will take place on May 10, 2022.

Park Joo Seon, who is in charge of the transition committee for the President-Elect, appeared on KBS Radio‘s Joo Jin Woo Live during an episode dated April 5, 2022. On air, Park Joo Seon stated that they are currently in discussions to have BTS perform during the ceremony.

The team overseeing the handover of the position and the ceremony even made a visit to HYBE on April 2, 2022, surprising the public. The visit was publicized, raising suspicion as to if BTS or a HYBE artist would be making an appearance. During the visit, Ahn Cheol Soo, a member of the transition committee held discussions with the company regarding a variety of issues.

This is not the first time that BTS has created ties with the Blue House. They were previously elected as special envoys by the previous president, Moon Jae In. It would certainly be an honor for BTS to perform at the inauguration ceremony! Stay tuned for updates.
