BTS’s V Earned 6 Billion KRW As Advertisement Fee Before Enlistment

He signed with a prestigious brand.

According to reports on December 20 by Newsis, BTS member V earned an estimated ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.61 million USD) in modeling fees right before his enlistment.

The report stated the coffee brand Compose Coffee selected V as their model to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the brand’s launch in 2024. The singer already filmed the advertisement earlier this month, which will be released in the future.

Compose Coffee also announced that its franchises would bear a part of the advertising cost, with V as a model for the brand. Out of the estimated ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.61 million USD), franchise owners were asked to pitch in for a total of ₩2.00 billion KRW (about $1.54 million USD).

This fee is at par with BTS’s usual modeling fee, which is known to be high. In 2021, KBS2’s program Woman Running the Charts reported that BTS’s annual modeling fee per brand was about ₩5.00 billion KRW (about $3.84 million USD). At that time, they were representing 13 brands. BTS, however, negotiated a guarantee in 2021 that was 20% lower than their existing modeling fee. So, according to calculations, they received an estimated ₩62.0 billion KRW (about $47.7 million USD) that year in modeling fees.

Meanwhile, V enlisted in the military on December 11 with his co-member RM. He will be serving in the highly prestigious Special Duty Team in Seoul.
