V’s solo album, Layover, was released on September 8, marking his debut as a soloist. On the same day, BIGHIT MUSIC announced an offline fanmeeting event where ARMYs could not only see the singer face-to-face but also enjoy special performances and exclusive behind-the-scenes stories from him. The event is scheduled for October 14.

Fans had to enroll in a raffle to win a chance to be at this fan event by purchasing at least one copy of Layover. The raffle period was from September 8 to September 13, and on September 20, the winners were notified.

ARMYs who won a spot at the event quickly shared their excitement on social media. Some of them also shared interesting information about the event’s venue. The fanmeeting will be attended by 1400 lucky ARMYs who won the raffle, which means that the place has to be of considerable size to accommodate them all.

The winners reported that V will be holding the event at an open-air theatre and even shared breathtaking pictures of the place, much to the envy of the other fans.

This picturesque location is at the Global Campus of the prestigious Kyunghee University. Located in Suwon, this vast campus has enchanting architectural wonders, including the Peace Amphitheater.

Thanks to its majestic visuals, this place has been a popular spot for K-Entertainment events. Actors like Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Gum have held fanmeetings at this place. K-pop groups like MAMAMOO and Highlight have performed here as well. This is also a popular filming location, featured in projects like BLACKPINK‘s “As If It’s Your Last” music video and KBS‘s Beautiful Love Wonderful Life K-Drama.

Many ARMYs feel that the venue is reminiscent of ancient Greece and are hoping V pulls off a similar concept for the event.

Though the Kyunghee University campus is accessible for regular people, BIGHIT MUSIC has strictly notified fans not to turn up at the event if they are not one of the raffle winners for the sake of public safety.
