Charlie Puth Bids BTS’s Jungkook Farewell As He Enlists, Reflecting On Their Friendship

He’ll miss him as much as us!

BTS‘s Jungkook has always been an outspoken fan of American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth. So, it was a dream come true for Jungkook when they were able to collaborate for a performance of Charlie Puth’s single, “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” at the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards.

Last year, Jungkook and Charlie Puth released their anticipated collaboration single “Left and Right.” It was then that their friendship was fully established.

Yesterday, Jungkook surprised ARMYs by virtually guesting during Charlie Puth’s TikTok Live stage for his final performance ahead of his mandatory military enlistment. They finally performed “Left and Right” together!

Today, Charlie Puth took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude to Jungkook, reflecting on the journey of their friendship. He was honored that Jungkook chose his final performance to be with him until he returned. Puth is looking forward to reuniting with Jungkook in the future after his discharge and performing together again (hopefully in person).

I want to thank Jung Kook for joining us on stage virtually last night. It is a very full circle moment- from discovering his WDTA cover, to performing together in 2018 for the first time, and he wanted his final performance was with me! I feel very lucky and I can’t wait to perform with him again when he is back. Thank you to BTS and the BTS army for all the love and support always. I will see you soon JK 💜
