Here’s What EXO Members Think About Their Ambitious Hoobae, “EXO-LARGE’s Kay”

They love the “Growl” cover!

Back in 2019, in an episode of Knowing Bros, comedian Kang Ho Dong gave himself the K-Pop alter ego: EXO-LARGE’s Kay.

Fast forward to 2020, EXO-LARGE’s Kay is actually on the brink of debuting — after getting lessons from Super Junior‘s Shindong!

As part of Knowing Bros‘s after school club series Dongdongsinki, Kang Ho Dong mastered the choreography for EXO’s “Growl” and JYP‘s “She Was Pretty”.

Once he got the moves down, Kang Ho Dong recorded an “audition clip”…

… which Shindong then sent to his star-studded list of friends — including EXO members Kai, Sehun, and Chanyeol.

This is my first trainee who is super ambitious about dance. Please share feedback!

— Shindong

At first, Kai trolled EXO-LARGE’s Kay…

Judging by only the silhouette, it’s a no from me. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

… but soon, he became completely surprised by the infinite potential!

Wait, what? How is he so good? He has good rhythm. He’s on beat. He has clean moves. The transition is smooth. He’s really something, LOL! Like, I see so much potential?! You probably see it too, hyung. If this is really his first time learning how to dance, he’s a genius.

— Kai

Sehun and Chanyeol also had a blast watching the dance videos.

This is so cute!

— Chanyeol

Captivated by EXO-LARGE’s Kay, these sunbaes shared nothing but absolute encouragement.

Chanyeol: I like that he has character. And he is very expressive.
Sehun: He knows how to catch the key points. That’s good.
Chanyeol: He has a really good sense of rhythm too.
Sehun: If anything, it might be better for him to get used to dancing first by picking easier choreographies first, then moving on to more complicated ones — like “Growl”.
Chanyeol: Yeah. It has been 7 years and I still have trouble with “Growl” so…

Meanwhile, here’s what SM Entertainment‘s Lee Soo Man thought.

He’s not too shabby! You might break your bank trying to feed him while training him though. ㅋㅋㅋ… He’s a funny one. Good luck with him!
