While it was previously reported on February 25, 2025, that all Weeekly members terminated their contracts with IST Entertainment, it was not been officially confirmed whether the group has disbanded.

Girl Group Weeekly Have All Officially Left IST Entertainment

It was only recently, where the girls released their fan song “Daileee” through an external production company, that the girls addressed the disbandment indirectly.

Jihan comforted fans, hoping that the would not be upset.

I know that you guys were shocked, but I that you guys won’t be too upset at the sudden news. What else should I say? I hope you guys will love this song, and I hope that we can have good news such as being able to meet again, for you guys soon.

Naturally, fans were shocked that this was how they were finding out about the alleged disbandment.

Others commented on how the girls had no chance to properly greet the fans apart from this song and the behind-the-scenes video.

The members of Weeekly were caught by surprise with the disbandment and could not greet fans properly, so they released a fan song through a private company. Please listen to “Daileee” lots.

The producers of the fan song also claimed that the girls would now be exploring their own paths and individual talents, seemingly confirming the sad news.

The girls were put on hiatus for almost a year after “Lights Out.” The song was their last release before the sudden announcement.
