Former ADOR’s Min Hee Jin Makes Drastic Decision In Legal Battle
Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin is set to address the alleged “NewJeans tampering” allegations. Min Hee Jin’s representatives will hold a press conference on January 28, 2026, at a location in Jongno, Seoul, where they will meet with reporters.
Min’s representatives announced the press conference and its motivations.
“This press conference is being held to convey the truth regarding the so-called ‘NewJeans tampering’ allegations, in relation to ADOR’s damages lawsuit against former CEO Min Hee Jin, as well as ADOR’s contract termination and damages lawsuits against certain NewJeans members.”
Min, often referred to as “NewJeans’ mom,” stepped down as CEO following a decision by ADOR’s board in August 2024 and became an internal director. However, she resigned from her internal director position as well in October of the same year. Subsequently, in November, NewJeans members, who had demanded Min’s reinstatement at ADOR, held an emergency press conference and declared the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR.
During this process, allegations emerged that Min had orchestrated or influenced the NewJeans members to leave ADOR.
Min is currently embroiled in disputes with ADOR’s parent company HYBE over the termination of a shareholder agreement and a put option. The validity of the put option, valued at approximately 26 billion KRW, which is the key issue in the dispute, is set to be decided by the court on February 12.
