Controversial Former Idol Publicly Claps Back At Malicious Commenter Online

On December 14, former AOA member Kwon Mina posted a screenshot of a malicious DM received on social media.

“Omg, you’re still alive? Are you not dead yet? How does it feel to have ruined the group’s comeback? Did your life get better? Probably not. People like you will never be happy, no matter how much you try to bring someone down. If you really wanted to die, you would have already been dead by now. But you received the attention and sympathy of the public, and tried to ruin the group’s image.
Controller. Antisocial personality disorder. Psychopath. Not in your right mind. You’re not a victim, just a miserable person who wants others to be miserable like you. Live well. Should I even say that? But that’s just a stupid wish. A person as sad as you will never find happiness. You’ll live in misery forever.”
However, Kwon Mina responded rather maturely to the malicious comments targeted towards her.

“Thoughts and opinions are free. Most people are unaware of the truth, so everyone can form their own opinions about me and think as they wish. You’re right. There were times when I wanted to die because I was so miserable, wronged, and in pain. There were also times I wasn’t in my right mind. I’ve found a reason and purpose in life, and it’s fun! I’m sorry I can’t live my life the way you want me to.
I was on the subway on my way home and had nothing to do, so I am replying to this message. I hope you have a great day and that your life is always filled with happiness. And thank you for taking the time to write this lengthy message and show your interest. I don’t really like the word ‘pity’, but strangely, I feel bad for the people who vent their anger and write such negative comments, so I want to cheer you on. Hwaiting!”

Meanwhile, Kwon Mina debuted in AOA in 2012 and has been active as a singer and actress. After leaving the group in 2019, she shocked the industry by revealing that she had been bullied by former leader Jimin, which led to Jimin’s departure from the group.
