Former B.A.P Member Himchan Sentenced To 10 Months In Prison For Sexual Assault
Former B.A.P member Himchan has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for his 2018 sexual assault case.
Seoul Central District Court senior judge Jeong Seong Wan sentenced Himchan to 10 months in prison and 40 hours of a sexual violence treatment program following his charges of indecent assault.
According to the evidence that was examined, the victim’s statements are fully credible and support the indictment. For this reason, we acknowledge the charges made against the defendant, and deem him guilty.
Considering the defendant’s crime, the severity of it, and the fact that the victim has not forgiven the victim, we came to this decision. However, even though we have sentenced the defendant to prison, we will not arrest the defendant in court, and give the defendant an opportunity to be forgiven by the victim.

Back in 2018, Himchan was accused of molesting a woman in her 20’s during a pension retreat. The case was taken to court, where Himchan did admit to contact with the victim, but denied molestation. Throughout the trial, Himchan maintained that he and the victim had a good relationship, and there was no molestation.
