Only Five Fromis_9 Members Sign With New Management—What Will Happen To The Group Name?
Following the news of fromis_9 leaving Pledis Entertainment, which sparked some discourse, Star Today confirmed in an exclusive report that five out of the eight members have since signed contracts with a new management company.
According to Star Today, members Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Nagyung, Lee Chaeyoung, and Baek Jiheon signed exclusive contracts with ASND (Ascend) as of January 26, 2025 (KST).
It was also reported that the remaining three members—Lee Saerom, Lee Seoyeon, and Roh Jisun—have decided to pursue individual activities after “extensive discussions with the group.”
Star Today noted that fromis_9 members had strong desires to “preserve the group” even after leaving Pledis Entertainment. After careful consideration, five of the eight members agreed to join ASND believing it could offer them a fresh start.
The five members at ASND will continue to use the group name “fromis_9.”
