Former Trainee Triggers Backlash For Impersonating Popular Idol For Over A Decade
Produce 101 Season 2’s trainee Cho Kyu Min (also known as PETER or Jo Kyu Min) is under fire for impersonating BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon.

He appeared on tvN’s “Martian But It’s Okay” dressed up as the idol. Wearing a similar outfit, he tried his best to recreate his look and style — right down to his haircut.

However, this isn’t the first time he’s done this. Ten years ago, he was originally embroiled in controversy for imitating G-Dragon.

Not only would he make variety appearances…

…he would also create a crowd on the streets, leading fans on to believe he’s the real deal.

He would even copy his mannerisms, including his bow.

He played G-Dragon in Crispi Crunch’s music video…

…and even signed fan posters as him.

Additionally, he would hold events in China under the name “Z-Dragon.”

Accepting personal tributes from fans, netizens are upset with his behavior making a profit off of G-Dragon’s name.

Following Produce 101 Season 2, he claimed he would retire from imitating the idol.

Netizens are especially upset with his “victim mentality” where he claims he doesn’t even want to resemble G-Dragon.
I hate being told I look like him the most. I didn’t copy him, it’s just a trend. I couldn’t help it because people told me to (copy him). It’s all just a rumor.
