(G)I-DLE’s R-Rated “Tomboy” Performance Shocked 4 Different Idol Groups At Once
(G)I-DLE took home multiple honors from the 2022 Melon Music Awards or MMAs, including music video of the year for their single “Tomboy,” best songwriter for their leader Soyeon, and a top 10 artist award.
The group also had the chance to perform their 2022 singles onstage. Neverland, (G)I-DLE’s official fandom, will know that “Tomboy” contains an explicit F-bomb in the chorus, so the girls usually censor or replace the word.
This time, (G)I-DLE made the bold choice to sing the original R-rated lyrics loud and clear! It was completely unexpected and caught many idols in the audience off guard.
LE SSERAFIM‘s jaws hit the floor, but they continued to rock out to the song.
IVE couldn’t help but applaud their boldness after they overcame their surprise.
ENHYPEN‘s Sunoo couldn’t believe his ears while the rest of his members continued to bob their heads to the beat.
NewJeans‘ Hyein covered her mouth in shock but quickly went back to grooving with the rest of her group.
