Girl’s Day gets sworn at by bystander during Gaon K-POP Awards red carpet
A short video of bystander swearing at Girl’s Day during the recent 4th Gaon K-POP Chart Awards red carpet moment has stirred a heated controversy. The netizens are urging to look for the person swearing at the girls.
On January 29th, a direct fan-cam of Gaon Chart K-POP Awards’ photo zone time has spread viral through various online communities with the title “Ill-mannered people swearing at Girl’s Day.” A minute long fan-cam shows Girl’s Day standing by the photo zone area receiving countless flashes. But out of nowhere, some voice swore “SI***” at the girls. As the netizens feel, it was more surprising to hear no sign of anyone stopping the situation.
Netizens, especially Girl’s Day’s fans, are furious about the random incident. One netizen quoted, “With the passion to attend red carpet, the person who swore must be a fan of a singer too. Although we may not know who’s fan the person may be, s/he should apologize.” Another netizen commented, “To swear like that at a public event not only harms the artist s/he supports, but also herself/himself.”
Meanwhile, Girl’s Day’s Hyeri was an MC for the event, where Girl’s Day won the “January Ranks” award with “Something.” During their performance at the awards show, member Minah lost her shoe.
In addition, Girl’s Day’s Hyeri is currently acting in the SBS drama, “Hyde, Jekyll, Me.” Girl’s Day will also be making a comeback as a group later this year, during the second trimester.
