Girls’ Generation’s Yuri Confesses That She Lives In Two Different Homes And The Reason Behind It Is Touching

It sounds crazy but it’s actually very sweet!

Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri recently guested on SBS‘s variety show My Little Old Boy where she confessed she has two homes!

While having two places of living seems luxurious and like a huge flex, Yuri’s reasoning for having two homes is quite cute and heartwarming.

During the episode, Yuri was asked, “What is the story of Yu-ri living in two houses now?” by Seo Jang Hoon (one of the show’s MCs). Yuri responded that she unintentionally found herself to be living in both Girls’ Generation’s dorm as well as her parent’s home.

It wasn’t my intention, but my parents’ house is near our dorm. I still dorm with a member.

Furthermore, Yuri explained that the only other member who is living at the dorms is Hyoyeon. The other members have all moved out and live independently.

Everyone else has moved out but Hyoyeon and I still dorm. Hyoyeon’s family lives in Incheon.

Yuri also revealed that she did attempt to live solely with her parents, however, her thriving career and their conflicting schedules made things very difficult.

For me, I tried moving in with my parents when everyone moved out of the dorm. But my lifestyle is too different from theirs… Like we had family dogs and whenever I would come home late after finishing my schedule for the day, the dogs would bark. It would wake my parents up in the middle of the night.

While Yuri’s parents seemed not to be bothered by it all, she conveyed she often felt bad and ultimately decided to live at the dorm with Hyoyeon.

Then they would try to take care of me, like bring me fruit. And it made me feel terrible. So I still dorm.

— Yuri

Seo Jang Hoon asked the funny question, “But it’s okay to wake up Hyoyeon in the dorm?” Fortunately for Yuri, “Hyoyeon is actually still awake until then.”
