While Goo Hara did not have a Korean agency, 8-D Creative has made a statement on behalf of her, asking for the public to offer their condolences and refrain from spreading rumors.

8-D Creative, home to IZ*ONE‘s Kang Hyewon, released the statement to the press 4 hours after Goo Hara’s passing.

Goo Hara’s family and friends are mentally shocked and very unstable right now.

We sincerely ask everyone, including the media and fans, to not spread any rumors or speculation relating to the deceased.

We are very sorry for the sudden sad news.

Goo Hara was discovered dead in her home earlier in the evening. Police have also confirmed her passing, and are currently investigating the cause of deaeth.
