GOT7’s BamBam Apologizes—Then Deletes—Amid Hot Debate About His “Twitter Behavior”

One thing GOT7 BamBam‘s fans love about him is how open and active he is on his social media platforms, like Instagram and X (former Twitter), giving them more opportunities to get to know the K-Pop idol better. However, his latest “behavior,” as he called it, has since triggered some strong reactions from fans online.

In a now-deleted response, BamBam interacted with a tweet using a video of Andrew Garfield‘s Golden Globes red carpet appearance to poke fun at GOT7 fans “fighting” other fandoms before the group’s upcoming comeback.

To the tweet reading, “ahgases fighting with a fandom right before a cb… oh we’re so back! MY FAMILYYY,” BamBam responded with a “😂.“

When one Reddit user shared a screenshot of the interaction, confused about why BamBam might be “indirectly encouraging his fans to engage in fan wars and attack other idols…”

…fans found themselves in a hot debate about whether BamBam’s response was “immature and childish” or “not that serious.”

Amid the discussion, BamBam took to Twitter again to apologize. Commenting he did “a lot of research,” the idol admitted to not knowing about what the original tweet was instigating and that it was on him for “not looking through enough before replying.”
The apologetic tweet has since been deleted.

In a separate response to another fan questioning the apology tweet, though, BamBam continued to explain that he “loves everybody” and “[doesn’t] want to upset everyone.”
